What might be good economy lodging at the town of Mendocino, CA?

I'm planning for a 2 day diving trip in mid-August to Van Damme with wife and parents.  I will need two rooms for one night of lodging at Mendocino, CA.  I'm wondering if anyone can suggest a good place that's not too shabby, and not too outrageous either.  I saw one option at $200 per room (with own bath) which is good; but I hope for more choices.  Any help is appreciated.

Let me also check with you guys on any rule changes.  I plan to bring my tank and spear some fish.  Here is the plan:

1. Freedive to get my 3 abs
2. Come back to car, put abs and gear away, video for record and maybe grab some witnesses
3. Put on scuba tank and go spear max 10 rockfish and 2 lingcod
4. Go home

yep !!! looks and sounds good to me. I have never used a video camera to reord my self putting my abalone away before scuba diving !!! Might not be a bad idea !!

This place isn't  in the town of Mendocino but its right down the road about 10 minutes (6 miles) almost to Fort Bragg. If your diving at Van Damme its about 8 miles. Rooms are about $100 a night and you have access to your own private beach.
