First time fishing saltwater... Newbee going to try fishing out of HMB. Will anyone else be in the area? Looking for advice and tips. Also, does everyone put in at the public launch area or is there a better place?

Thanks!

George

You can launch right behind Half Moon Bay Kayak Company or by the old pier.  If you're targeting rock fish the structure near the green (which is the closest buoy) can can be good.

Don't go out there alone especially by the green buoy.  I've seen some sneaker swells in that area.

Never been there yet.  Heard from others that the surf could be a challenge.

Hey guy's nice going out today. Thanks for the company. How did the both of you do with your catches? I'll get my gear one day soon to head back out.

@George, went and bought a cart after that ordeal.

Thank's again,

Pete.
