Ok heres the scoop. Ive been trying to perfect a smore procedure and i need a little input.
you know the campfire hot sandwich makers, there kinda a 2 part folding hotplate that you stick over the camfire to make grilled cheese sandwiches and such.
weve been tring to make a mega smore by using gram cracker crust pie mix chocolate and of course the marshmellow however we been having trouble getting the grahm cracker to not stick to the sandwhich maker, tried aluminum foil and pam not working the crust is getting cooked just sticking and making it not perty, not a terribly important subject but just curious if anyone else has ever tried it.
thanks for input ahead of time

I used to make toasted PB&J in one of those sandwich makers. Lots of butter was the answer to avoid the bread/pastry sticking. Not sure if it would work in your application, but hey extra butter can't be bad right? :smt003

Exactly what I was thinking, butter  :smt002  That or maybe wrap in tinfoil the whole lot?  Thats what I do while camping, I just assemble on Foil and wrap up and toss on grill.   :smt003

Maybe coat the skillet side of the gram cracker crust with flour?  Just a shot in the dark.

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

Serve it with a spoon, chisel and a bottle of rum. Are you mixing melted butter and sugar with the graham cracker crumbs?

Reynolds makes a non-stick foil.  It's a little heavier than the regular stuff and of course more expensive.  I use it when I cook rock fish in foil packets on a gas barbecue.  Nothing ever sticks and it works much better than standard foil.  You might give it a try.
