Thanks alot guys for all the feedbacks and especially the pics( I can almost see what my revo will look like :smt001) I think I am sold on the Scotty flush mount for the rod holders, they just look good to me and easier for transport. For FF I might have to go with the ram mount.

Gino,

I'm bringing some of the basic tools needed to do some installs; bring what yooungotntoTiki and we'll se if we can get them mounted Saturday.... right before the tourny.....

And  in my opinion, I'd go Scotty all the way; alot more options and flexibility. If you have the room to install the round flush mount, gowith the round; it spreads the load over a wider surface area.

See you at Tiki!

Glen

I have used both and they are both good products. For electronics mounts, RAM rules. For rod holders, I would use Scotty flush mounts, with a wedge RAM, adapter if you wanted to use  RAM rod holders. What nobody mentioned is that RAM 1.5" ball mounts and RAM rod holders are HEAVY. The wedge adapter is light. Minimize the number of holes and fixed weight on your yak while maximizing your options.  You won't regret it.
