Had a great day diving today at Stilwater. Pulled up to the parking lot around 7:30 and in the water at 8:30. Flat seas maybe 3 ft. swells and calm wind. Paddled out and about 1/2 miles up the point, anchored the yak and hoped in the water. Found a nice hole in the kelp and the vis was about 25 ft. On my second dive want down 27 ft. and just as I was about to go up I saw a nice Cabazone, shot him in the head, which pissed him off. I grab him and realize he is huge so I put a bear hug on him and get him back to my board, ends up being 21 1/2 inches and just under 6 pounds, my biggest Cab yet. I ended up spending a few hours in the water and the talley or the day was 2 cabs, 2 blues and three olives, what a great day.

That's a big Cab. I am hoping to make it there on 27-28June. So you gave me something to look forward to. No diving just fishing.
