Ill be in Santa cruz for the weekend. Ill mostly be shore fishing because Im with the fam but I will most likley have my yak. My mom lives off twin lakes beach south so thats where ill be. Any of you ever launch from shore down there?

yeah, you aren't supposed to launch there, the guards will bust you if the black spot flag is out. Within the city limits the only legal beach launch places I know of are at the Cowell's side of the wharf and  the Mitchells cove area.
 I'd check with Kayak Connection as they may know more. They used to have a cool little give away map that showed all the legal launch spots from Santa Cruz to Capitola.
