Is there enough room to bring and park an RV w/trailer at SWS? I am debating whether or not to bring it to PIF or just stay at a hotel and use the truck.....

Thanks,
Glen

Nope, my Nissan Frontier barely fits in the guest parking behind the 17th hedgerow.  Isn't PIF at MBK though?

Some NCKA brothers are going to play at SWS on Sunday before they go home; weather & time permitting.... guess I gonna take the truck...

Thanks guys!!!!

Definitely no on the RV/trailer... even just the RV is pushing it.

Couple main factors:
They've had conflict with kayakers & the parking in loading/unloading area.
Bringing a RV with a trailer... is just way too much.

The area near the bathrooms/pier is under construction now, so it's even more of a pain to get in/out.

As a sidenote to the parking conflict....they actually put up a sign saying no kayak parking near the steps.  We're suposed to use the side lot which is waaaay smaller, I can barely squeeze my truck into the very last space and I go over the line a bit.  If worse came to worse you could probably park the rv up on 17 mile near cypress pt and have one of the boys give u a lift.

I was there last Sunday.  A Pebble Beach Beach security guard was dispatched to check on entrance fees.  Apparently somebody with a yellow kayak (most common color off course and I had 2 with me that day) just waved past the security guard at the gate and did not pay the entrance fee.

I showed him my receipt and left me alone.

Glen, another option would be to park your RV at Veterans Memorial Park .....

...and have one of the guys pick you up to carpool to the launch. The campground is only about 10 minutes to Del Monte Beach - the site of PIF.

I have never had a problem parking there.I always pull up to the steps, unload my gear and park in the hedgerow.Walk back to the stairs haul my stuff down and paddle out. When I return I drag my gear up, walk over to the parking lot and return to load my stuff. NEVER a problem. There is another parking lot that will accomadate larger vehichles next to the tennis courts, then its a short walk to the steps.I think even an RV could park there easily.
I met a NCKA'r out there who I won't speak his name who got there early, parked in the B&T club lot, fished very close to the pinnacles :smt009 got his fish and took off. Doesn't help our reputation around there :smt009
The construction guys are cool and just need to get some work done.

If whoever you are speaking of was parked in the first two lots closest to the stairs was prob ok. My understanding is that those two parkings are ok to take.
