I remember seeing a similar diy version and I wonder if it's by the same person.  It looks cool!  Throw an agm battery in the orange plano box and you're good to go.

Are you thinking about getting it Rey?

Yeah thinking about getting it but not sure how good that motor is.  They offer it with the agm battery and charger for a little more.  It still much cheaper than the torquedo.  They also have this motor in ebay that is cheaper and might be a better motor.  I think it can be fitted into the well also.  Could be really handy someday.  I think with the AI's the extra weight is not a factor.

Rudder mounted and u can still use your pedals when u drain the bat... :smt002  Bit pricey but hey.......why not!!!  I'm thinking the   eVolve is the only way to go for me anyways...

Nice Sledge!  Yeah I think we qualify to get the extra help.  You never know when your leg or arms will cramp up.

The mirage drive unit looks interesting.  Just wondering if it becomes more of a hassle in the long run if you have to take it out to remove debris or to avoid things.

I like the shorter shaft motors and you could build a scupper hole-plano box-motor mount (all in one unit, right next to you for convenience and you still have use of the drive).  Have you looked at bassyaks?  They use minn kota and the salt water option is +100.

It looks like a fun project so let me know if you need help putting it together, especially if you need to test drive it.  :smt003

I aint old enough to qualify for 'old guy' yet. At least that's what Craig tells me when he's pulling past me in his T-15 double stroking it.  :smt005

When you get your Revo you might as well sign up for AOTY yourself with all of the fish you're gonna catch on that thing! Hobie's are fish magnets.  :smt002 jim
