I had a late start today, since the high tide was 2:30PM and I wanted to catch the outgoing tide. :smt002 It was ~1pm when I got to the beach/launching spot under Dumbarton Bridge. The wind already picked up and the water was choppy and murky.  :smt009 It was not a good time to launch. While I prepared my yak for launching, I met Eugene coming back. He was done with fishing, but I just got started.  :smt009 It was the 1st time we met. We had a little chat. Good to meet you - Eugene.  :smt006

I paddled out to find the channel everyone had mentioned. I zigzagged along the way, since water was choppy. The channel was not far from the beach (1/2 mile or less). I saw the channel from my fishfinder and it looked pretty good. I anchored the yak and tossed herring and ghost shrimp as bait. Game was on. :smt001

Both the wind and the current got stronger, but they ran in opposite directions.  :smt011 My yak was under a weird position due to two opposite forces. I felt twisted. Around ~4PM, I saw packets of white caps pushing each other. My yak went up and down like a leaf.  :smt009 I felt like rollercoaster riding. Not long after I called off the day.

I had no fish bites, therefore, no fish.  :smt013
