So I spoke with the guy who runs Bodega Market in Petaluma, he said the hali's should be in around the middle of April or so..   Do any of you guys go out and drift for them?  Ive been out there many times, hooked a huge one , got another to the boat probably 20-25 lbs..  It freaked out and snapped a 30lb leader.. got all of us wet..   :smt010

Just wondering if any of you guys have experience out there in Tomales?

Thanks!

I've caught a couple of them out there in years past fishing the channels west of hog island.  Usually seems to be best a little farther into the summer like July time frame.
