The Van Wormer Resort in Los Barriles is nice I think it is the La Palma and I think there are three resorts on the property. They are walking distance to town (?) if you want to call it that. I think it is 4 blocks by 8 blocks. Great hole in the wall food places for cheap.

They also have a great fleet of boats that you can get for a coupel of days in their packages.

Or you could stay in Cabo San Jose and hit the pangas in the harbor.

If you do go watch yourself at the airport. There is a place I call the "Shark Tank" where folks will try and hook you into a timeshare. If you do go, especially to the East Cape make sure you know who is going to pick you up or else you may get "attacked!"
The Ranch is a nice place and close to Gordo Banks and yes they have kayaks.

"bull riding came about when some redneck stated, "hold my beer and watch this!"

Check out mex fish .com for yellowtail fishing.Spring and fall are best times! OCTOBER? Fall? I guess all those OCTOBER YELLOWTAIL in the 20-40lb range we caught were just unlucky casualties. :smt044

I was specifically commenting regarding October in La Paz and East Cape.  You were fishing in BOLA ... different seasons.  Baja covers a large area.
