Was thinking of hitting Doran Beach on Friday night and soaking some boxes overnight and  in the morning. I know SuperDan was planning on going with some friends. Is anybody else down for this. I can try and see if they have any sites for Friday night. Does anybody know if you can just sleep in your truck overnight without paying for a camp site?

I get out of work at 5:30 and could probably get there around 7:30, if I can I will go in an hour early so I can get off at 4:30.

Thanks for posting the hookup Victor. We probably would arrive at the same time at Doran.
I'll call Hightide and inquire for answers to our questions.

I'll bring the fryer and propane tank coz my group would definitely want to feast on them dungees on Sat.

Are you by yourself? Wife is joining me.

Well I will go on what you guys decide but that water looks nice in the pic. I saw a few weeks ago that people were getting dungies on the jetty. They are around we just have to find them. I am going to bring a few boxes of squid. Hopefully the furbags will leave the boxes alone, they tend to like chicken.

Sweet sounds good to me. So I guess we just pay for a site when we get there? I will PM you my number so if you get there early we don't get double sites. I think one is enough.

Camping at Doran.  The wind is blowing so hard my kayak is rocking on it's cart. Went crabbing today. Dropped 3 pots about 100 yards out from the jetty. Got quite a few under size dungies .  Had 3 keepers. Everything was going well until the wind really started to howl. Then 2 of my pots started drifting out to sea  - on the express train.  I got those pulled in and both  had a load of small dungies. I had to leave the pots stacked on top of me and the kayak because if I stop paddling I was blow out to sea ... Towards  those big nasty looking rocks. The paddle back in around the jetty felt like I was dragons big bucket.  The dungies are here but it is blowing like hell.
