Just wondering now if Hobie does any kind of X-mas factory discounts on their yak? How about discounts on their accessories at least? I'm interested in the sail kit, sail furler kit, baitwell, fin upgrade, etc. Maybe a few more misc thing but it's looking to be about 1K just in accessories. Do they do NCKA discounts if I mention it? I was told that Hobie policy "does not do discounts".  Just want to make sure I try to get the most bang for my buck since it's a big investment for me.

Most of the shops offer a NCKA discount of about 10%.  Dan is a great guy and I'm sure he will work to make sure you're a happy customer!

It's tough to discount a Hobie, but sometimes shops can offer discount (like 15%) off accessories with kayak purchase...I'd ask about that if you're already planning to buy turbo fins, sail, bait tank, etc.

That would certainly make loading my Revo13 easier!

Hobie prices are set by the factory, not much wiggle room unless you have last-year models....but, discounts on accessories from the shop come into play for sure.  Bryan is on here as AnglerDangler, feel free to PM him also...and try to time your visit when Teri is out on a demo and it's just Bryan and Joe working the shop!   :smt003

Great people, great shop, they'll take care of you.

I bought my Outback from Adventure Sports right here in Sacramento. I didn't get s discount on the yak but the totally hooked me up with 150 bucks in store credit and was able to get all the accessories I needed at no additional cost.
