New lense, comes with 2 for $19.99, or go to the Mako Spearfish site for the Flat one for underwater.

Be careful since the flat lense is plastic... & not glass like that article.  You'd likely mess it up good trying that remedy.

Underwater, the flat lense scratches fill with water & not as much of an issue.  I'd recommend using 2 housings - a dome port for topside & flat for uw usage.

Thanks fuzz...I'll try it out this weekend underwater and if the scratches don't jack up the picture as bad I'll go that route...

how tall are you Jim?  I am 6'3", don't know if I want the head mount or not or my videos will seem as if I am a giant.  I bought a chest mount and was surprised I was able to wear it with a life vest, jacket, insulated jacket and several shirts...........I thought for sure it would either not fit or be way too tight.

LOL!

I'm 6'3"-4"...I think running up the hill had something to do with it looking like the view was from way above?  :smt005

Fuzz was right...underwater you can't see the scratches at all!

Now I just need to get a second housing that I take better care of for above water!
