You boys should takesome basic tying  lessons.

I plan on doing that. Any suggestions on what to get - to get started? I've been looking at some of the fly-tying kits at Cabelas....

Rickey, How about doing an article for the NCKA site? You'll get a gift from Papa Bill if you do one :smt002

I got a kit and a book. Trust my it is super easy to tie buck tails. It takes me about 5 minutes to tie one, more time to pick what I want to put on it.

Where? I know Fisherman's Warehouse sells 'em....but what exactly do I need - since I know there are many "kits" to choose from.

I go the whole kit from Cabela's I think it was like $120 bucks or so. The book I got was not that great, I ended up getting most of my info off the web.

San Jose Fly Shop and Mel Cottons have pretty good selections of gear. I only really use the vise a the whip knot tool. Get some thread a a little bucktail and you are good to go.
