Heard they are being made by someone else now. I know these lures went off the market for several years. I never got to buy them when they were being made, didn't know about them. Now I always hear how poeple love them, but you couldn't buy them anymore. Now I hear they are being made by someone else. P-Line maybe? Anyone know who makes them now and where to find them? Links, stores, order co....?

The former owner of Megabait has started a new lure company with an all new take on the Megabait.  It's called Luna Baits.

I heard the P Line laser minnows were essentially the same bait, and made from the same mold? Can anyone confirm?

Really late response on this one but the Megabait it the new Luna the difference is the weight that the Luna comes in some guys really really like the fact you can get them in 2.5, 3.5, 4.5 something about the rate at which it falls in the water. The so cal yaks went back to tadys when the mega bait left and im sure will be back on these when the fishing goes OFF...

P-line makes the cheapest piece of crap jigs ever.  I'll never buy another one.  I bought a pile of their hex jigs a few seasons ago.  Straight out of the packaging, I used a few at bean, by the time I got home, they were all rusted out.  never again...

I bought a bunch of the P-Line megabait imitations last year when there was a deal at Ly's for 2for1.  They certainly looked a lot like the MB's, but they didn't last worth a $#(*!  Each time I used one they would chip, bend the eyelet, etc.  No where near the quality of the MB's!  Luckily I've got all the MB's i need for this year thanks to Ebay  :smt002  There are still new ones out there in some stores though.

Fishing deep in heavy structure, every single jig I've ever fished has sustained some damge to the finish. All it tells me is that I'm in the strikezone.

I bought about 60 of the knockoffs too al, down to about 20 beat up jigs but I don't think the fish care at all......let me know if you wanna unload any of them junk jigs :)
