Bloodbath and I left my house at 4:30am. Got to Timber Cove around 7:00am. I thought it was gonna be a zoo, but found nobody there. Anyway, the swell was low, vis was about 8-10ft, light wind, but kinda surgie where we were at. Nothing huge, but we had easy limits. I couldn't find any urchin, but Joe found three. Water was kinda cold. Tried to go after the lings I saw earlier while grabbing my abs, but my face was so cold that I decided to turn around and call it a day.

Then we drove to the Red Barn and met up with Allen and Sledge. They were getting ready to go to Fort Ross to pull the crab traps they dropped the day before. They made Joe pull some traps while Sledge and  I kicked it at the beach. Tons of divers at Fort Ross, both freedive and scuba.

We drove back to the Red Barn and had a blast eating urchins and crabby patties that Joe made. Yum. Great start of the ab season.

Great job, guys! Awesome seafood combo! Crabs and abs. Only missing some cabs to complete the rhyming trifecta.

As for Joe's crab cakes, they surely do look yummy!
