Well I came across what I beleive is the deal of the century. Found an Excel wetsuit (at least)7mm (quad polar maybe?) 4-5 yrs old neopreme (semidry?) horizontal zip across the chest entrance. Its in good shape but all the seem tape inside is coming off. This allows me to see the stitching (not blind stitched) is this an easy repair? The suit,24 lbs lead, quick reelease web belt, 7" ab gauge and Ab pry bar all for $130. Thank you Nate (spinal tap) for walking me through this. Can not wait to get it wet. Already tested it in a pool. 64 degrees. 15 min and I barely got my boxers wet.

Looking for a soft belt.

Why?  I'd recommend a rubber belt with lead weights.

My backup belt is a 20# seasoft. I'd be up for a trade if that is what your looking for.

See ya at GMS.

I probably used the wrong terminology. I have a web belt w/quick release buckle. It is a pain to get tight enough to not slip off. approx 25 lbs of wt.  I'll look into a rubber belt. Does anyone use ankle wts. If I could drop 1 wt off the belt and add it too my feet the belt would be more manageable.

Alright Brother, we can learn together. Got my mask, snorkel, fins and picked up a Cressi 5 mil open cell suit. I need a belt too. I was told the rubber belt, but not sure on brand or buckle type. Even got my Ab tags this year. Lets go get wet. :smt003
So I'm packing my bags for the Misty Mountains, where the spirits go...........

Cool Ed! went and looked at rubber belts and mask today. I think there are a couple different quick release buckles out there. tried on a few mask and had trouble with sealing at the temple area at the corner of my eyebrow. The hundred dollar mask worked just fine :(
