Kayak Handles

I don't understand yet.  Is the webbing coming apart?  Or is the plastic breaking?  Or both?  Picture?

Plastic is cracking and webbing is coming out.  Will shoot a picture this evening.

I looked at the handles on my prowler, and noticed that there are 2 screws going through each plastic end piece, for a total of 4 screws per handle, whereas yours only have 2. The extra screws help spread out the load and prevent the plastic pieces from breaking.
