Since I missed the Berry Salmon Slam and the Salmon Opening Day, decided to take my road bike for an hr 8 mile spin and where would this ol' man go but where 2 of his favorite sports coincide: east side of the Dumbarton Pier.

After a 2 .5 yrs hibernation due to WTTM, still have not lost it all (oh maybe a few): front pedal push, rear pedal pull in continuous circular motion, cadence maintained in all road levels, etc, etc. The only thing noticeable is the hard breathing which can be heard all over and a slight pain in the behind (forgot to wear my padded biking shorts). I think I'll have a hard time doing this regularly due the current kayak madness.

Quite a slow day at the pier: did not see any perch or leos caught when I stayed there for 20 mins like what Shellback saw. But that could be that I came too early and too short a time.

Here's a few pix:

There's one boat yonder on the west side probably on a sturgie hunt.

Hope y'all at the Berry Slam and those who dared the Salmon Opening Day have a grand time. For me, I'll just settle for the exercise and healthy feeling body. And doing my Honey To Do List/s. :smt010

Going Fishing?
Winds from the south, hook in

Wind from the east, bite the least.
Wind from the north, further off.
Wind from the west, bite the

Way to get out there and do it!  I've been jogging a few times recently myself - used to call it 'running'...  I'm not enjoying the 20 pounds of water bags someone tied to my chest and belly.   :smt009

Same story here, packed on 10 lbs over the winter I need to shake.  Mountain bike is back in action, didn't realize how much I missed that thing...amazing how uncomfortable my seat has become, or how fat my ass has become.  Either way I now understand the concept of numb-nuts.

haha,  I think I can relate.

Sunday was a WAF points day, Chryss and I rode into midtown the long way (17mi) then she wanted to take the train home....the last car was packed, I hesitated...Standing there witht eh train rolling away, C calls and asks how I missed it....
so an additional 10 miles home on Folsom and I got home 30 min after C.

27 mi on road bike after no riding for at least 12 months = sore bottom...lol
Less Mental than before, Still savage AF tho <3
