Left the kayak at home and went fishing with my brother in my canoe today.  Beautiful day even though the weatherman said it was going to rain.  I was hunting for bass... I had one blow up on my Zoom Swimming Fluke and that was it.  I missed it and that was it for bass fishing.  I think it needs a few more days of sunshine.  Then I busted out with the trout gear because my uncle said they caught their limits a couple weeks ago... and got nothing.  Power bait, kastmaster, rooster tail, etc.. nothing worked.

The "blow up" will keep you going.  I've only had one experience where I got bass to hit top water and I didn't hookup.  That's an exciting kind of fishing - wish I had more bass water close by.  Congrats on getting out on the water.   :smt001

It does not take long for all of the trout to be caught after they are planted there.

Jacks, looking at the weather, I'da been surprised if they weren't suspended, plus, poor things have been getting teased up and then, brought down by that crazy feb. weather. Isn't the barometer fun? :smt003
