I don't get how people get so worked up over kayak fishing.  The most relaxing activity on the planet.

+5 - which is why I shy away from competitive sports.

+7 - I fish for fun, not for competition.  It's a shame some guys have lost sight of that.

Eric, Just quit the AOTY BS and come back for the intrinsic rewards,
and if others don't like your methods tell em to eat sh!t.

I can't speak to what lead up to this but will say that Eric is a fine person and I will continue to make the journey to Shelter Cove As long as Eric and Dominic are there. At this point in my life, it is much more about friendships and the adventure and not about who catches the biggest fish. As others have said, kayak fishing is one of the greatest hobies on earth. The drama is our doing. NCKA is what we make it to be. Enough said.

Agreed but unfortunately it's not a perfect world. The site is growing and with it, personalities will surely clash at some point. This is when moderators have the thankless job of trying to set things straight. Imagine if we still had skygreen and Brendan posting here? The mods can't make everyone happy but we can try to weed out repeat offenders to keep the peace and sanity.

Prepare for more "negativity" in the future (especially when the winter comes. Everyone in venting out cause the weather sucks and the fishing tends to be slow) all I can say is "stay the course". NCKA is a great site ONLY because of it's members.
