I removed my Air conditioner and Heater from my truck and was left with these holes in the firewall.  Its loud as hell in the cab now.  I'd like someone to slap on some nice thick sheet metal and weld em up!  Anyone up for it?  I've never had any welding done before so I dont know how much to offer for the job.  Anyone up for some welding?  How much would you do it for?  I'm in Fremont and will drive anywhere in the bay area and Santa cruz area.  Anyone down?

I'd like to get the big holes as well as the little ones welded.

There is a putty type sealant you buy at napa sticky on both sides like tape. then you can just press a piece  of sheet metal in place. If you ever decide to put a heater back in you can.

Looks like a Chevy or maybe a GMC S-series truck of the 69-72 vintage from the photos-if you aren't going to put at least a heater core and shroud back in....I'm with W-hunter on this, you don't need a Weldor (Sorry, welder is the machine, Weldor is the person) -  a plate, maybe two (one inside, one outside with a couple screws) with butyl tape AKA body putty will do the trick and allow potential reinstall, protect possible value...

I agree with the above. In my Camaro I race I have removed the heater stuff. All I did was rivet some sheet metal over the hole with sealer. Becomes a legal fire wall, and is removable when my car body is worth a million bucks down the road and someone wants the heater back.

Dude! Jhfish?  You should change that to "Truck Whisperer".  Great guess man.  Its a 71 C-20.  And thanks for the info Weldor/Welder, I'm always down to learn something new.  The way things work in the truck, if your cold, put on a sweater, Hot? Roll the window down.  I like having a bare bones truck, if its not essential to get me from A to B, its outta here!  Less to worry about.  I'll look into riveting a plate in with some of the Butyl tape.  Thanks fellas!  The NCKA hookup strikes again!
