recently bought a Hobie outback and a potter 15 sailboat with intentions of spending more time enjoying life. Been years since I've done any fishing so need to learn the ropes again.Thought I'd start out at lake Sonoma since it's close and appears to be a good one to explore by yak.

I've heard that steelhead and bass are caught there and there are remote campsites available by boat.
Plan to take my potter out there this weekend for a shakedown cruise and of course will take the hobie and fishing rod.

Would like to hear from anyone familiar with Lake Sonoma .
Thanks,
jess

Welcome back to fishing, it's been missing you!  I don't know anything about Sonoma either, but check the hookups section.

Thanks to you all for the welcome.
I bought some gear and got some advice  from the local pro fishing supply so will make a try at it this weekend. According to the guys there they have been catching some steelhead and bass but it's tough.
I'll let you all know how my luck goes.
