got out to do my early morning run to monterey and though the water looked good the vis was not great and the surge was incredible. everything was moving this way and that way.

i started at otter cove and worked south towards lovers point and the surge was just too much for me and the milky water was not fun. i got spoiled by the conditions last week.

if you guys area heading out and the swell wind direction is the same as today try stillwater cove since its on the other side of land.

got 3 olives and one blue rf for dinner. most fish ere holed up due to the surge from the rising tide.

i was out by 9.30 am and heading home.

good luck!

Thanks for the heads up John! Even with the terrible conditions, I'm impressed you were still able to bag some rockies, wtg!! :D

Glad you got some fresh fish for dinner.  Thank you for the report John.

Not sure, but ya might want to call SWS, there is a big golf tournament starting monday morning. Just a thought sometimes it gets hectic with construction
