Our girls ages 4 and 6 have taken some ski lessons and now "love it" so we're looking to buy some used skis for them and us (wife and I) as we have to go with them.

Not picky, but looking for any (relatively) late model quality beginner/intermediate skis that are in good shape functionally will do.

To trade, I've got some spearguns and high end carbon fins and other dive gear to trade.  I also have two kayaks: scupper pro TW and a pink (breast cancer awareness pink) mini-X.

Thanks,
Nate

you might go down to Big 5 - they have this deal where you buy a package for the kids for somewhere around 120bucks (used) or 200 (new) then every year you can trade in and get new stuff- i think the package the next year was 50 bucks, with varying prices depending on which parts you need- 30 for boots, etc

Good deal as you KNOW there's no way in hell those boots will fit next year!

This is what we've done with my daughter she's not yet 4 so we've got a long way to go...

Eric, I has a set of K2 185s skis you can have. They're old, but still usable. The bindings are the outdated ones with boot straps, that you prob should replace.

How tall are you?
I have several options - good shaped skis with bindings in the 185 to 190 cm range ( one with rental bindings) I'm 6'3" so you should be at least 6'0" for these
We also have a good pair of 150 cm skis with rental bindings suitable for a shorter woman (5'1" to 5'5").

I used to be the industry rep for a large ski club  and if you would like some advice on how to save $$ and info on the best resorts for families new to the sport, just PM me
