Ice Fishing Caples Lake 2-6

Anyone interested in freezin your butt off with me and the kids for a day of trout fishing through the ice? 

Changed to Sunday, undoubtedly my son will have baseball practice on Saturday.

Nope, not much of a tv guy period. Football never really peeked my interest even back when I played in college. My bad, well, I will take some photos this time, and give a report. I hope the Dodgers win the superbowl and score some three pointers at the buzzer!

Good luck up there Rich! I grew up ice fishing all the time just wish I could visit my dad's buddy who had the bomb ice shanty. That is the only way to ice fish! Nice warm heater and cold beers! Will try to camp with you on 18th at Pardee.

Hey, you got your priorities straight    I was thinking about heading out there in March, do you know how late into the season the ice usually lasts?

Last time I Ice fished was in Boville, Idaho. It was damn cold.
Had to warm up with the higher proof beverages.

BTW: I went up to Kirkwood on the last day of their season(end of april?), and saw some folks still Ice fishin Caples.

Yeah, I think the ice is fishable through April, and recedes in May.  As long as I have a foot of ice, I am ok with takin the kids out there.
