So after 3 months of procrastinating, I finally decided to install my fish finder.  I tried to make it as easy as possible with as minimal drilling as I could and this is what I came up with.  Hopefully someone may gather some ideas from it.  Enjoy!

Also, for the cleanest hole cuts use one of these:

Finally got a ff on there.  Came out clean.  Now you can really get us to the populated crappie spots.  Whens the next Crappie Port run.

hope you don't mind some advice on this install.    It all looks good , but   I see you used crimp connectors for the electrical connections only.

Not so good for marine applications, especially if you get into saltwater.    You need to use heat shrink tubing to seal the electrical connections from corrosion.     Now that it's done,  the easiest course would be to use the liquid electrical tape.

check out G-Whiz photos showing the electrical connections he's made.

Are the Stripers and Salmon starting to show up river yet ?   Getting to be that time of year me thinks

Thanks for the input.  I have a giant costco sized tub of heat shrink tubing (Harbor Freight special) at my parents house and will end up getting it all squared away once the laziness wears off  :smt003.

Salmon are trickling in, we've been seeing them here and there on the American.  I'm going to pull some plugs this evening on the upper AR...There's also a good amount of Stripers in both the upper and lower AR so right now its a good time to hit it.  I'll post

Cool !   I'll be looking for more info.     I've gotta make a run up that way this week.   Gotta figure out how to fit some time on the water up there.
