1/8/11 Camanche

Anyone want to fish Camanche this Saturday? I may be camping with a group people so may be there Sunday too.

I'm trying to roll in early sunday morning...Should have a couple on the stringer before you wake up..lol 

I bank fished there yesterday for 3 nice football shaped planters.  I was at the south shore launch ramp.  Power eggs and 3" berkeley trout worms in combo seemed to work better than plain power bait----if you bait fish.  They evidently stocked Monday and the Lassen Hatchery truck was dumping some big hogs in at the ramp Tuesday about an hour before I left.  You guys should have a good shot as the fishing pressure is very light.  Wish I could join you---maybe next time.----Jeff

Are you going to be at the south shore or north shore?

Will be launching North shore. I cant go Saturday now... so looks like Sunday for me.

Sunday just might work best for me as well. What time were you thinking of launching?

Does this place require a inspection? You also need to purchase a fishing permit correct?

yes to both questions jim.  i figured i would fail inspection thats why i decided on amador last monday instead of camanche.

I may be going Saturday night to hang out and camp with a group of people. Then fish Sunday launching from north shore @ 7-8am... or what ever time works best for hookup. Heres a link to the inspection form; you can fill out and be ready on arrival.
