Went out to Lake Chabot this morning as I was dying to both fish and to try out some new gear and apparel close to home.  Was on the water from 9am to 2pm, just a light breeze most of the day and the water was clearing but still a bit stirred up.  Only had one good hookup, a 3-4 lb. rainbow caught on a size 2 red/white bladed Mepps spinner that I managed to release with the net (need a bigger net).  Luckily it was also fairly nice day for a leisurely paddle.  I promise to provide pics if I'm not "practicing" catch and release next time.

WTTM Zippy!  Look forward to hearing many more reports in the future, hopefully with better netting results. :smt003

I think we didn't get pics because of his netting misfortune.
