Joel and I launched from Oyster point at about 8:15 this morning to an outgoing tide.  Wind was mild and the water had a little chop.  Picked up some Herring from the bait shop and Mike the shop owner said 1 sturgeon was hooked and lost in from of the peir yesterday and 3 were kept from Candlestick.  He pointed out a clam bed to us and we were on our way.

After 2 1/2 hours of soaking herring and watching Joel try drifting for sturgeon we headed back with nada.  I will say that the short paddle makes Oyster point a good place to fish, not as promising as San Pablo though.

Non fishing excitement was to be had as we were leaving the dock a guy forgot to tie his boat to the dock so when he pulled is truck out his but went floating away.  I paddled over to the boat to tow it back but a nice women who may have lived there opened the gate so the guy could drive it back.  It would have made for a great picture. A kayaker towing a boat :smt005

I'm sure Joel will add some interesting stories to the day. :smt002

....as soon as we got out of the water....brother Jason was kind enough to show me some of his "secret" stiper locations right by the candle stick area....let's just say the mooch will never go back there again :smt011 - even if salmon are being caught in this area. It scares me that some people actually wait for the bus IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET instead of the safety of the sidewalk. Oh....and the "DO NOT WALK"  flashing light does not mean a thing :smt009 in this little town.

Yes, humans scare me more than White Sharks or Grizzly bears  :smt002

How much is a Glock 9mm? :smt071

Mooch,

When I pull my first striper out there you will change your mind.   :binkybaby: :binkybaby: Don't be a baby.  I have no other reason to say that other than when else could use this ICON>
