I'd buy 4 Daiwa Sealine sl20's  :smt001.

Okuma has a less than stellar reputation especially when it comes to reliability. The Avets are pretty nice but not very corrosion resistant so probably not the best Kayak reels.

If you want more cranking power maybe check out the Daiwa Saltist lever drag or the Charter special 1000 from Shimano. You will still have plenty of scratch left over for a new rod as well.

What are you fishing for with reel that small that you need a two speed?

i am just looking for a small reel that can handle various fishing situations such as pacific/atlantic halibut, sturgeon, yellowtail, tuna, etc.

All those reels are overkill from a kayak alot of people are happy with the Toros I'm happy with my SL20SH

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

Yeah those are a bit overkill. I got a on sale Toro for $99 and its really well made w/ a beautiful silky drag. The older models have a pot metal thumb release pin inside that needs an upgrade though. Newer Toros have replaced w/ a steel pin.

I know how it is though, I'm a victim of wanting a really badass reel. I'd have to second the Daiwa Saltist. 100% stainless machined gears inside for the ultimate in strength and corrosion resistance, Carbon fiber drag, aluminum frame. Everyone I know who has one is amazed by how low maintenance they are. Price point is pretty good as well. 25% off sale ($172) for the 20H w/ free shipping and no tax. http://www.edgeangling.com/Daiwa-STTLD20H.html If they had a lefty version I'd be all over it.

Hell of a deal Zee and it's an awesome reel too. I just had my Toro and Revo modified by Alan Tani. Apparently, there's a weak part on the thumb bar that was recently improved by Abu Garcia.

Right on I do think you would be stoked with the daiwa sealine sl20. They have a massive drag for the size of the reel and if you have Alan Tani go through em they are nearly indestructable on the yak. Just give them a quick rinse when you get home and you're good to go.

I've never caught a sturgeon but I've caught plenty of Albacore over 30 pounds and a 42" halibut on my sl20's. The drags are still smooth and the graphite has no corrosion.

Let us know what you end up getting!
