didn't see any I'd eat.... I'm comfortable with about 15 varieties. Santa Cruz is a meca for shroom hunting. Lots of folks work the mountains there. Pretty sure there is a mushroom club there too. Go to a couple of their forays and you'll learn a lot. Start with some easy "safe' shrooms and learn the nasty ones. AWAYS be sure before you try. There's a saying to live by. "when in doubt, throw it out" It is fun and definetly addicting. I call it the adult easter egg hunt. Right now is when you will see the most variety of the season.
