So I went down to the airport launch from the NCKA directions.  Hung a U turn at north loop road, and then what??? Do I cross the chains, and walk down to the little beach?? It was super low tide and there were dried kelp beds and rocks that looked real tough to get over. there is a long jetty with fences over there. Is that the right spot?? It is the closest place to my house and I hear there are big dinosaurs over there.  thanks. :smt006

From your descriptions, sounds like you got to the right place.  Just park along the curb, wheel or carry your yak under/over the chain to the beach.  Those rocks look "tough" but they're not that bad  :smt003  That place is a little tough to launch or return during very low tide.

One more thing...the last time we launched there, there's a guy from the pier using a bull horn calling us to get back to shore as we're paddling out...just ignore him unless...you hear gun shots  :smt003

If you launch from there stay outside of the bouys (airport territory) and nobody will yell at you.  Just head straight for SF and then turn left when outside the bouys.

I have been to that launch before...I found it easier with 2 people to carry the yaks.  I was sitting on the anchor and saw a fat ass shark leap clear out of the water about 50 yds in front of me....a few seconds later i got bit and it was on!      bad ass

I think that's my next move. After a couple freshwater skunks, ( since I don't fish with Marshmallows I cant catch these baby B#$#H trout around here) it's time for some salty, slushy, 66" fun.  The rains are comin in big this week, so maybe next.  Anyone, up for christmas dinos???

When the reports are that they are jumping in the kayaks....i'll be right over there buhdee, but until then, i might a well just sit in my garage, bait my sturgeon rig, cast it out into the street, and wait for a sturg' to find it......just like the real thing = same odds :smt013
Make sure you have a quick-release anchor set-up.
