A little excitement around the hood today

It's not often I have to text my daughter "Do NOT come home until I say it's OK.  Armed murderous lunatic at large in our neighborhood."

OMG total manhunt all afternoon outside my house.  the preschool in story below is my next-door neighbor....  My house is the grey one you can see in the pics from Brookwood Dr.

Cops are still out there in force.

Everyone here  is OK they have the guy holed up about a block away.

Sorry, but having a chick ( deputy is a PC way of putting it ) escorting a 6'7'' 275 lb. criminal w/o any back up is just plain stupid.
Glad everything worked out OK in the long run.
You would think a guy of that size could find some kind of work instead of being on the wrong side of the law.

Yes, he's in custody without anyone (including him) getting hurt.  The preschool is still taped off as a crime scene.  My street is still taped off, I just had to escort my daughter through, driving under the tape. Sheriff on duty on the corner is a great guy.

We figured it was over when the swat guys walked up our back road with helmets and AR's about 1/2 hour ago. 

 I'm grateful for the outcome and for the effort our law enforcement personnel put in today.

glad things worked out Allen.  That preschool has had a lot negative press lately what with the Medical Marijuana Ice Cream store next door (I kid you not) now an armed thug smashing around.

  Another good reason they shouldn't outlaw handguns. Give him a little western justice!
