Just a heads up from what I have learned over the last few days. With holidays on us car break in's are on the rise.

My wife left a purse on the front seat over night the day before thanks giving. Well I took the trash out thanks giving day to find a window busted out. A purse gone. We went to reporting her credit/debt cards missing. Well one card we could not get through to for anything. But the other we were able to cancel.

Talking to both card companies. This is what we learned. The thieves take the cards and fill gas cans at stations until they max out. They did this to the card we could not cancel. The Credit company card dude said to also never use the dept feature at gas stations... and to always use the credit option due to card readers.

So we learned. Never leave a bag viewable in your vehicle (duh!). Dont use debt option when filling up for gas.

Also the glass replacer dude said 3/4 of his work today was from car break ins. That is very bad this time of year.

We did end up with a nice hefty sledge hammer out of the deal though. It was just sitting by the front seat covered with glass

Add a little insult to injury... I went for a walk around the creek area this morning. And a damn loose pitbull came charging across the creak to growl at me. I charge at it yelling back off! It didn't move. Just got meaner. So I took a couple steps away and it started after me. I spin and yell more... it barked more but stopped. I turned to leave again and it came at me again. So I spin and charge it... it just got meaner. So I grab a branch to swing around like an idiot and it stayed put just barking. Turns out it lived at the house I was walking by. It had gotten out and was protecting its home. The police were called by someone cuz they came and got it. I tell you... mucho respect for pits after today. That dog was bad-ass scary.
Do your best; and forget the rest! -Tony Horton

I am relieved that you made it out safe... now on the other hand, how much was your wife's purse?  My wife has been drooling over expensive purses, and I know what she would do in that situation... she would go shopping for another purse right away.  ugh.
