That was the exact response I was expecting! I dunno if I see another in your hand I may not believe you. You can "dude" it up and drink one of these next time.

I used to get swimmers ear from water getting in the ear and causing an infection. Everytime I swim or dive now I put some rubbing alcohol in my ears and then drink some hard liquor. Has worked for me!

I know nothing about diving except that my ears probably couldn't handle it with my allergies.
But for outer ear swimmers ear prevention, you can buy drops over the counter or you can do what I do after I swim: half and half solution of distilled white (not wine) vinegar  and rubbing alcohol, a few drops in each ear.   Helps with mild jock rash too.

Maybe that bacteria warning sign did mean something after all :)

Got myself checked! Bright red ear drums, throat and sinus. Bacteria infection in the ears/sinus.

Got antibiotics, pain killer and as Piscean mentioned Sudafed.

Doc said maybe not get in the water for 10 days. Not sure how thats gonna go, sorta clashes with sundays plans:)

Thanks for all the feedback, much appreciated.
