Hi Brian,

What time, and where?  I have a trap shoot tomorrow, but if it's in the late afternoon or I can find an alternet I'll be there.
I'll know more this afternoon.

I'll be out there tomorrow, but on my buddies boat.  We'll be on black and white crestliner.  I'll keep a look out for you.

this will be my first time going to Melones.  Any suggestions on what works?

I've heard anything in a shad patter.  Cop car needle fish.   Brown, Silver, Firetiger Apex?  I also heard most are being caught down 15-25 feet.  Any insight you might have would be helpful.

I might get lazy and take the boat out myself. Either way I'll be on channel 69. I will try to launch at the 49 bridge as I hear most of the fish are coming up the river arm. I will be trolling needle fish and I will try to net some shad to use for live bait if I get really lucky to find a school on the surface.

What you troll, long line it way out there.
