Topic: bent filet knife makes best skinner?  (Read 1039 times)

Hey, here's a weird lesson. I have a filet knife, it is bent to the left a little, looking
down from the top. I found this knife in a truck I bought once, long story.

Anyway, the bend is opposite the pressure you place on the knife when skinning a
filet slab.

But this means that the knife bends to flat as you skin, while you have pressure down
on the skin you are removing. this knife skins the best of the 3 filet knives I have.

I'm not sure I'd bend a straight knife just to get this, but maybe some of you experienced
filet dudes have seen this or do actually pre-bend a knife or two.
