Has anyone found a bag that fits a Hobie 8" Twist-N-Seal hatch. They don't list one in the Hobie catalog. :smt011
Also looking for ideas on easily accessible tackle storage via center hatch on an Outback.
Read on an earlier post about gooping down noodles to keep boxes from sliding around.
Thanks, :smt001

What about the normal gear buckets?

I only have 1 so far, and no easy way to contain more than 1.

And if you want a bag, you could probably dremmel out the bottom of one, and glue in the bag ;)

I learned this simple set up from Lucky 13 for my Revo.  Look for existing holes inside and tie a piece of cord and attach a clip (.99 cents at Walmart).
The center hatch will close with no problem even with the round Hobie tackle box inside.  I did not goop or drill on anything.
I learned the hard way to secure your important gear.  After a surf launch my water bottle and dry bag with my lunch inside slid in the back of my yak.  I couldn't get to both while OTW.

Yep I do the same. I have a hobie gear bucket set for each type of fishing I do. One for RF, one for trout, one for general bait fishing. I just swap them out as needed. Then I kepp a small mesh bag in my seat pack with some scent, leader and lead (or what ever is needed for the intended species. I was able to get rid of the plano box in the tank well. Inside the center hatch I have a long length of bungee that goes around the drive well 'hole' where I attach my important stuff (in a compression bag) that I may need OTW when I may not want to or be able to access the front hatch. Stuff like glow sticks, pump, sponge, gloves, beanie, etc. I never have to fish around for it. So far I love this set up.

I try to fish smart and be a tackle minimalist when kayak fishing.  I go over my tackle several times and make sure I bring only what I need.  Its so easy to go over board on extra gear.

amen FA. If it doesn't fit in my gear bucket or bag it doesn't go. Bass fishing is the only time I bring a plano box thank godness I don't fish bass that much

Thanks to all for the great advice. I definitely carry too much tackle for my own good. :smt002
Need to work on being a tackleholic. :smt044 Less tackle = more beer ?
