IMO, the standard GoPro isnt suited for fishing applications. Sure it gets wet and keeps on ticking but you need a lot of light and clear water for it to make sense. The HD version (more costly) is def. the way to go. You may still need clear water to make sense of what your looking at.

This video was shot at one of our Silicon Valley lakes. A very green lake with little vis. But you can kinda see what up.

This video was shot with the same GoPro but is in super clear water. Works pretty welll.

It's cool but not the best if you want high quality videos. I would try their HD version. T.V shows like dirtiest jobs and deadliest catch are using them quite a bit nowadays.

It just uses a regular USB cord, and you can import them directly to Windows Movie Maker that comes with nearly every computer

It's not a cam corder, like you're used to. You don't look through a viewfinder to shoot video.

A word of warning about the HD version. if you have an older PC, the computer may not be able to handle the video frame rate if you set the resolution too high. You will be able to hear the audio fine, but the video may be jerky and out of sync. But the videos are viewed just fine on Mac computers.

you know I could be out of turn here, but I think Dr. Habenero had/has a couple of these for sale, very recently.  Check the classifieds or better pm him.
