Karma works.  I found a BLUE parakeet in my neighborhood.  After a week of trying to find the owner, I gave in and adopted it.  Three weeks later, I got a check from the bank, out-of-the BLUE.  So I got myself a new BLUE Hobie.  2011 model, lots of cool upgrades.  Here are some pics.

I don't think I will have it ready for the Delta Event on Sunday, but I can't wait to get it all set up.

See you on the water,

HB

BTW, if anyone has advice on taking care of parakeets, let me know.

sweet! the boat is awsome. I had  a half moon. He was so cool, spoiled rotten. not sure with parakeets but with a parrot one of the main things is lots of attention or they get mean. Enjoy the new boat an bird. Maybe you could train him to ride on your shoulder while yaking..lol

Sweet little Hobie Sport!  We used to have a pair of Parakeets: Bambi and Knono.  We taught them how to whistle and they're a quick learner  :smt001  Hope the below article help:

Don't cook with Teflon pans, Bryan. The pan releases gas that will kill the bird.
