Came up for a quick 3 night trip.  Got here Sunday and the wind is ripp'n.  Wake up to quiet on Monday.  Nice all day.  Took out the Agean with the wife and paddled and trolled the lake.  No fish.  About 3 yaks on the water.  One was catching via power bait.  later I tool out the Hobie and still no catching on the troll.  One guy I talked to said there was a tall concrete structure in the 70' of water and he was catching on on every drift by it.  My new Humminbird worked fine for about 1/2 hour then started reading 0'.  Infant mortality I guess.  Set up a drop shot rig as wife tried out the Hobie.   She liked it so much was too late and the wind was coming up to go look for the concrete structure.  There is today, but windy this morning, so may go up to Mammoth and try Lake St. Mary.   70's temps so is a beautiful fall day in the Eastern Sierra's.

Been on the road to much, need some down time.  fished Lake Mary for a C&R nice trout on a trolled green wooley booger.  Windy yesterday, so opted for Mary.  Stopped for lunch at Lake Tanaya in Yosemite, which looked like a nice place to ak, when not windy.

Was in Mammoth as well. Crowley is the place for big fish. Hooked two fish over 22 inches.
Its not your calm small lake and very much like the ocean, you gotta watch the wind but it is the place for trout in the eastern sierra.
