Hit Del Valle yesterday and found a Scotty Rod Holder at the boat launch in about a foot of water at about 1600.  By the way, I wasnt fishing, just practicing paddling with a bunch of gear loaded on my boat and some more self rescue.  Gonna get fishin real soon!
