I want to jig for salmon this weekend by Miller Park on the Sacramento River. My wife and possibly brother will be going on their kayaks as well. I am open to suggestions as far as a specific date/time, technique, or location (not too far up or down river though).

If anyone is interested lets figure out specifics.

Have fun.

Ill probably show! just let me know wat time and where. The minnow hole below sacramento yacht club is a good section to jig! Not sure if i wanna be around miller park on the weekend...theres parking on riverside and fruitridge right along the river and a short walk over the levy with the wheeleez's if your down.. wont be as much traffic around there as far as skiers go! check out the local forecast, i think rain is coming. If its not windy, im still down to go rain or shine!

Looks like we will plan for Sunday the 19th. The minnow hole sounds better then Miller (less boat traffic). I am not familiar with parking and launching in that area. Between my wife, brother and myself we only have one kayak cart so hopefully its not too long of a walk.

Weather:
77 degrees F
Partly Cloudy
10% chance of rain
6mph wind from the southwest
6:51am sunrise

Any suggestion on time?

yea earlier the better...wont be skiers out there for the first few hours...No it aint difficult at all..theres easy parking and the beach where u launch from is only 80yds at most from where the cars will be parked. i have a cart too that u can borrow after i get mine down there..Weather looks good im there! was there last nite throwing spinners off the bank, but for zilch! About 3 others out there throwing spinners but i didnt see any hook ups! you know the street right?

My brother had some stuff come up so we are changing to tomorrow Saturday the 18th and trying to be on the water at 7am. We are going to jig in and around Sherwood harbor marina, the minnow hole and possibly the Yacht club.

theres parking on riverside and fruitridge
you know the street right?

I looked it up on Google maps thats about it. Ill send you a PM with my number.

If its too sudden of a change for anyone who wanted to go on Sunday (Auburn trout dude, Alfredo) let me know and maybe I can convince my wife to let me go out again.  :smt001

Eric and I plan to launch from the Miller Park ramp on Sunday. Probably around 8amish.
Plans might change due to weather conditions. You guys have fun down river.

Let me know how it goes fellas - I'm going to try to get out at least once this week after work.

Fishworks, I live near Fruitridge if you ever want to hook up - I think I know the access/parking area you're talking about on Riverside between 35th and 43rd?  But where do you put in?  I thought the levee path was blocked north of the access until after Scotts no?
