I'm planning on going to MBK tomorrow, last minute deal. If any one cares to join, company is greatly appreciated.  I was wondering if WSB are still in the area, and if not, what else should I go for (besides rock fish). Daniel.

I'm not sure if you have left yet but .....
Suggest you not go yet unless you can stay really close to another non-newbie.  You probably should take a class on self-rescue too first.  I also think a radio, knife both tied to your pfd and at least a farmer's john wetsuit a must have in Monterey.  It can get really cold there especially when the fog does not lift.
