9. Boat/Vessel Registration
Fishing guides, using a guide boat which is defined as a boat less than 25 feet in length and being used in inland waters, do not have to register their boats as commercial fishing boats. If the boat is longer than 25 feet or if the boat is being used in marine waters, it is not defined as a guide boat and must be registered as a commercial passenger fishing vessel and the operator must have a commercial passenger fishing license.

Vessel registration is required for all commercial fishing operations, including commercial passenger fishing vessels, but excluding guide boats under 25 feet in length being used in inland waters. Registration of the boat/vessel is in addition to the purchase of the commercial fishing license or party boat license.

wonder why Jeff has his kayak registered?

blue, you have to bring them back alive to get paid tho!

I can see it now: blue's accounting records:

o. client 1: eaten by great white.
o. client 2: lost in big surf
o. client 3: pulled out to sea by big salmon
o. client 4: just could not make the paddle back. never seen again.
o. client 5: asked about FF, so I threw, errr, client fell out, kayak blew away. lost at sea.

revenue: $0.0

Looks like the biggest qualification is the hat, the hat and the shorts. That's what they say, "it's all in the shorts"

Look at the way those kayaks are loaded up like a couple of parade floats, love to crack open a nice bottle of port on the beach and watch these guys coming in for the landing

The hat.....thats hilarious....... :safe: if I wore one like this would I qualify?

..........agarcia is just an ex-kayaker

Hey Joel I am pretty sure he is fishing in marine waters, thus requiring his boat to be registered.

Is that what I think it is? That has 'fishing guide' written all over it

I for one believe strongly in 'safe' kayak fishing.  Never too much protection, you know...
