Met Jarod at the wharf around 7:30am, and headed out to the kelp towards the cement ship. There were some 5-6" sardines scattered around, but the seals were chasing it putting on quite a show, and we only managed a few.
While Jarod was jigging a swimbait along the egdes (a few small rockies/ling), I was drifting a live sardine/dead squid farther out, hoping for a hallie bite (nada).
The wind started to kick up around 11am, so we headed to the kelp by Soquel point. Jarod caught  some more small rockies, and I got a 16" greenling.
Pretty slow fishing, but a nice day otw.
Jarod, real nice to meet and fish with you, and I hope we can do it again soon.
When we got off the water around 1pm, the sun finally came out, and the water was flat calm.

Way to give Hali hunting a try.  Thanks for the report Jim.
