My boy turns 4 tomorrow so I'm on a tight leash for the weekend, but next weekend is wide open.  I have a pile of dekes, mallards/teal/widgeon/floating honkers/standing honkers/& honker shells.

Rob, I can't imagine piling all those dekes into a SIK, bad enough on my aircraft carrier!

Next weekend I'll be in Florida. Maybe weekend after that. I'm going to try and get out somewhere this weekend. Sat or Sun. Not sure where. I like the closeness of Oroville, but not all the people. May try the delta somewhere. Not sure where to go down there though. Maybe just fish. I don't know.

I'll be up to Lower Klamath on the 19-21, other than that I'm open...let's keep the 13/14 in mind.  Where's Montana, didn't he start this thread?   :smt001

Friday the 5th, I have the morning open to go.  I have my kids that weekend, and will not be able to go out on yaks.  We have been doing well, birds are flying high.  530-852-2552, shoot me a call, and we will make it happen.  I spoke with a game warden, and we are perfectly legal.

Pepper retrieving a pintail over the weekend.  Doing well, on ground, not so much in water yet.

The other thing to keep in mind is you can't shoot close to a dwelling, (a dwelling defined as any building capable of house a person) or public road. I forget the minimum distance. It's in the regs.

I am putting together a run for Saturday morning.  I have a gunnery sgt pal that has never yakked, so I am brining him out on the delta for a morning shoot.  Looking to splash around 5:45, it is a short 1/2 mile paddle to the islands where a lot of birds have been flying.  Plenty of room for a few other guys to join in. I am also off on Thursday, and plan on going out.  I will be solo on Thursday, so company is appreciated.  The sloughs I hunt are off 8 mile road and I-5.  HIt me up if that sounds doable.  I have Sunday open too, not sure what I am planning there, maybe pheasants/turkey.

One of these days we won't have opposing plans. I'll be in So Cal at the last race of the year this weekend. Maybe next week.
