I'm going fishing on Saturday.  I know there is a post out there, but it's moved toward the 'is Bean Hollow safe or not' subject, so I'm posting separately.  I know Bill and Dustin can't go, and I haven't checked with obkook, so so far it's just me.

PM me or reply if you are interested.

Also - got my halibut itch relieved today (will post in the report), so I'm pretty flexible on where we launch, but have a few ideas given conditions.

Did you have to sit up or were you able to just reach back and scratch that But itch?  :smt003

My schedule is in turmoil right now or I'd commit

Cool - would be good to fish with both you guys.

I'll post my itch relief in the fishing reports, but am waiting for tomorrow...

Darius,

You can't go without running boards. What would people think?

I was driving up hwy 1 today, and it was flat.  So flat you could do EKG without getting wet.  So flat you could beach launch Gazos and turn left into Franklin Point, tie up with a few other kayaks to look big enough to deter anything toothy and fish away.  But it's supposed to be a little bigger on Saturday.

Michael - we could check the EKG, and if not doable, either launch closer to the lighthouse or at Bean, or we could fish somewhere else - what would you prefer?

It has been two weeks since I have been out so I am not going to be very picky this weekend.  However, I vote to checkout the EKG and move up or down the coast depending on the conditions.  Heh, I'm in the middle of watching the shark week shows on the discovery channel.  They just showed a video of a researcher with pigeon point in the background :).

Already burdened by my fear of pinnipeds and starfish, I don't need to be watching shark week.

Update: I watched some online, and discovered that sharks allegedly like yellow.  We both have yellow yaks.  We are living dangerously, my friend.

Let's say 7:30 at the EKG - PM me if anyone needs directions.

mcag, I tried to pm you, don't think it worked.  If you guys got room for 1 more guy, I'll be fishing that area and would rather fish with you guys than fish alone, let me know, thanks......

Plenty of room - I think it's just bink and me.

We'll start by checking out the launch north of the lighthouse.  If you are heading south on Hwy 1, about 2 miles south of Bean there is a road that branches off your right hand side called Pigeon Point Road.  It runs along the coast, up to the lighthouse, and back out the Hwy 1.  We'll be at the north end of that road - just off the highway.

My guess is it might be too big for that launch; if so we can go up to the Bean or Jaws or south to the lighthouse.

Let's plan on 7:00 if that works for everyone.
